⌘Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer who’s passionate about designing scalable systems, architecting robust APIs, and improving cloud infrastructure. This is a key technical role for someone who not only executes tasks but thinks systemically meaning identifying the best solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability.
⌘Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS and TypeScript
- Architect and optimize PostgreSQL/Supabase databases, schemas, and queries
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform on GCP/AWS
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment flows, and observability
- Create and manage Cloud Functions for new features and automation
- Debug, monitor, and enhance system performance and reliability
- Ensure backend security, data integrity, and compliance best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, mobile, and data teams
- Review code, enforce standards, and mentor other engineers
⌘Requirements
Must have:
- 8+ years of backend development with JavaScript/TypeScript
- 5+ years with NodeJS
- 5+ years with NestJS (core requirement)
- 3+ years working with GCP, AWS or Azure
- 2+ years with PostgreSQL/Supabase
- 2+ years with Terraform (infrastructure-as-code)
- Hands-on experience with Firestore/Firebase
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and DevOps practices
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills
- Rigor, autonomy, and a sense of ownership, capable of seeing the “whole system,” not just your piece
Nice to have:
- Experience with React Native
- Experience with NextJS
- Experience with Python/Flask
- Previous exposure to event-driven or real-time architectures
- Experience with LLM Apis/Rag
