⌘ Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) who will play a key role in shaping the quality foundation of our rapidly growing product. Our stack includes a React Native application available on iOS, Android, and Web, and a NestJS backend.

We are building automation using Maestro for mobile and modern tooling for API and integration testing.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams, contribute to defining our automation strategy, and help to build automation from scratch for mobile and backend layers. While the long-term balance is expected to be 60% manual / 40% automation, you will significantly influence how our QA processes evolve.

You will also participate in improving testing workflows, supporting CI/CD enhancements (GitHub Actions), and helping establish quality best practices across the team.

⌘ Key Responsibilities

Manual QA

  • Execute manual testing for the React Native application across iOS, Android, and Web platforms
  • Validate API behavior, data consistency, and core business logic
  • Support weekly release cycles through structured smoke testing and sign-offs
  • Maintain and evolve the manual test suite in Qase

Automation

  • Build automation for mobile (Maestro) and backend APIs
  • Develop and maintain e2e, API, and integration tests
  • Integrate automation into GitHub Actions CI
  • Monitor automation stability, reduce flakiness, and improve scalability of the test suite

Quality & Process Ownership

  • Participate in shaping the QA automation strategy together with the QA Lead and engineering
  • Contribute to incident investigation using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools
  • Provide transparent QA reporting and highlight release risks

⌘ Expected Outcomes

  • A robust and growing automation framework covering core mobile and backend flows
  • Predictable, high-quality weekly releases with reduced regressions
  • Clear, reliable manual test cases and documentation
  • Improved testing processes and increased confidence in release stability

⌘ Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong background in manual testing
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in automation
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to an automation framework
  • Experience with Maestro, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar tools
  • Solid experience in API testing (REST/GraphQL)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and the ability to adjust pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Strong debugging skills using logs, metrics, and tools such as Sentry, Firebase, Supabase, Charles/Proxyman
  • SQL knowledge and experience validating data
  • Experience with performance/load testing (k6, JMeter, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a QA team
  • Fluent level of English; French is a plus

⌘ Key Benefits & Opportunities

  • A key role in shaping the QA function - Direct influence on quality processes, standards, and testing approaches at an early stage of the team's development.
  • Building automation from scratch - Full ownership of designing and implementing backend API and integration test automation.
  • Central role in mobile app automation - Close collaboration with the mobile engineering team and direct involvement in defining automation approaches (Maestro + service-level tests).
  • Work across multiple platforms - Hands-on experience with iOS, Android, and Web, as well as backend systems (NestJS), databases, and internal services.
  • Deep technical involvement - Advanced debugging (Sentry, Firebase, Supabase), CI/CD development (GitHub Actions), and improvements to logging, monitoring, and testability.
  • High product and technical impact - Direct influence on the stability of weekly releases, user experience quality, and development velocity.
