Role Overview:

We are hiring a Principal to lead the execution of our global credit investments. This is a high-ownership, front-line role with real decision-making responsibility. You will own performance-based underwriting for the global gaming and consumer apps ecosystem, assessing cohort unit economics (LTV/CAC, ROAS, payback, retention, etc.) in addition to traditional financial ratios. You will manage the full lifecycle of our credit investments from initial underwriting to active portfolio management. You will be making decisions on threshold setting, breach management, waivers, and collections, acting as the decisive bridge between our data insights and our capital deployment.

Responsibilities:

Lead Credit Underwriting: Own quantitative underwriting for global borrowers using cohort-level performance data and unit economics

Risk Assessment: Evaluate capital-at-risk and downside scenarios to support funding decisions, distinguishing between volatility and degradation

Threshold Management: Set and refine performance thresholds and early-warning risk triggers for new and existing deals

Active Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor funded cohorts to flag performance deterioration early and execute critical capital allocation interventions

Deal Structuring: Lead deal structuring and pricing decisions, designing bespoke credit structures aligned with the borrower’s monetization curve

Client Management: Act as a primary interface with clients on performance reviews and funding requests

Risk Infrastructure: Work with the product and data teams to build and maintain portfolio risk dashboards and reporting frameworks

Investor Reporting: Interface with capital partners and the investment committee on funding requests, portfolio performance, and risk updates

Skills and Expertise:

3 - 7 years of experience in private credit, venture debt, fintech lending, corporate development, or strategic finance. Prior experience in gaming, consumer app, or fintech companies is a strong plus

Cohort & Unit Economics Mastery: You possess a strong grasp of LTV/CAC dynamics and payback modeling. You don't just read the data; you have demonstrated pattern recognition and are able to spot early warning signals in cohort performance data before they become obvious

Data Comfort & Fluency: You are highly comfortable around data. You are not intimidated by raw exports or complex dashboards; you can navigate the numbers yourself to validate trends rather than relying solely on high-level summaries

Independent Credit Judgment: You are able to form independent risk views and evaluate downside scenarios without over-relying on models

Stakeholder Communication: You are a clear communicator capable of managing complex relationships with founders, senior stakeholders, and clients. Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred for our cross-border deal flow

High Ownership & Self-Direction: You thrive in ambiguity and operate with a high degree of autonomy. You don't wait for instructions; you solve problems. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do the heavy lifting
