As our Senior System Administrator you will be the backbone of our internal operations, responsible for the management of all on-premise IT systems (networking, hardware, staff /EUC support) and ensuring our organization maintains robust security and compliance standards. Your first priority will be ensuring internal systems are as reliable, performant and secure as possible. This is a vital, hands-on role encompassing everything from provisioning new high-end laptops to managing our internal server, storage and development hardware. and ensuring our internal network is rock-solid.

  • Internal IT Support: Provide technical support for all employees (on-site and remote), troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
  • Endpoint Management: Manage and maintain device management platforms for secure configuration, patching, provisioning and inventory of all company assets (laptops, servers, storage & networking).
  • Procurement & Asset Management: Research, source, order, and track all IT hardware and software licensing, ensuring the team has the cutting-edge gear required for development and testing.
  • Identity & Access Management: Administer and maintain our core internal services for account provisioning, de-provisioning, and security policy enforcement.
  • Networking & Security: Configure, monitor, and maintain internal network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, CASB’s , switches, VPNs, Wi-Fi) and ensure endpoint security (antivirus, firewalls, threat detection) is enforced.
  • Information Security & Compliance : Implement and maintain the defined information security policies and strategies that form part of mod.io’s ISMS programme. This includes vulnerability management, access control, data protection, and security awareness training.
  • Disaster Recovery: Maintain and regularly test comprehensive Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity plans for critical internal systems and data.
  • Incident Response: Contribute to incident response and post-mortem reviews for operational and security events.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture strategy by ensuring internal IT systems and processes align with current and future business objectives.
  • Automation: Develop and implement scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate repetitive IT tasks, streamline user onboarding/offboarding, and ensure consistent configurations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Systems Administration or IT Operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and managing security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Strong knowledge of general IT systems, networking, corporate hardware, and operating system management (Windows and macOS).
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies for service management (Incident, Change, Problem).
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices (Azure/AWS).
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automating administrative tasks.
  • Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform & Google Suite management.
  • Relevant security or systems certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
  • A passion for video games and an understanding of the games industry is a big bonus.
