Job Description: Quality Control (QC) – Bengali Transcription

Location: Remote/Bangalore

Type: Internship/Contract/ Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Bengali Transcription QC to review, validate, and improve the quality of Bengali audio-to-text outputs. This role is critical in ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural correctness, and transcription consistency across large-scale datasets.

If you have a sharp eye for detail, strong command over spoken and written Bengali, and experience reviewing transcription work, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Bengali transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and formatting
• Correct errors related to:
• Grammar, spelling, punctuation
• Misheard or mistranscribed audio
• Dialects, accents, and colloquial usage
• Ensure adherence to transcription guidelines and style guides
• Maintain high quality benchmarks across batches
• Provide feedback to transcribers for quality improvement
• Flag unclear audio, background noise, or quality risks
• Meet daily / weekly productivity and accuracy targets

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Bengali
• Strong understanding of spoken Bengali dialects (West Bengal exposure is a plus)
• Excellent command of English (for guidelines & reporting)

Prior experience in:

• Transcription
• Transcription QC/Review
• Linguistic QA
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work with large volumes of data
• Comfortable with tools like Google Docs, Sheets, or QC platforms
