Position Summary:

As the Head of Finance at Gamefam, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial health and direction of the company. You will manage and continue to scale our finance operations, deliver financial insights to drive decision-making, and partner with senior leadership to support and formulate financial strategies for the company’s continued growth and sustainable financial success. This role reports directly to the Chief Business Officer and will collaborate closely with department and business unit leads, creator partners, platform and brand partners, and other external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the company’s financial strategy, long-range planning, and capital structure.
• Advise executive leadership and the board on financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles.
• Own all financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax functions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting packages.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting (internal and external).
• Manage and optimize dashboards and KPI frameworks to drive strategic insights.
• Partner with business leads to model revenue growth, optimize costs, and improve profitability.
• Lead scenario planning, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis to guide operational choices.
• Lead and grow the finance team, including FP&A and accounting staff.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to foster a culture of fiscal responsibility and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and all relevant financial laws.
• Maintain internal controls and support audit processes and investor reporting needs.
• Interface with VC partners and banks, and support fundraising or M&A initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles; experience in a high-growth tech, gaming, or entertainment company is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of FP&A, accounting principles, corporate finance, and financial modeling.
• Hands-on experience with financial tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Excel, Google Sheets).
• Problems solving and action orientation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize multiple initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for gaming or entertainment is a big plus!

The base pay for this position is $125,000 – $280,000. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Business and operational costs, as well as state or local employment laws, factor into the approval of locations for remote work. The states listed below are approved by Gamefam for remote work locations. CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, UT, WA.
