Build the backend behind India's next 100M-user apps
Eloelo Group is one of India's fastest-growing consumer tech companies — the team behind Story TV (India's #1 micro-drama platform, 100M+ downloads, 500+ original titles produced with studios like Balaji Telefilms and Applause Entertainment) and Master (India's #1 micro-learning app, 5M users in 50 days, 1,000+ bite-sized courses). Across our apps, we've crossed 250M+ downloads, with multiple Eloelo apps in India's Top 10 and 100M+ Indians consuming short-form vertical content every single day.
If you want to own architecture decisions, ship systems that get stress-tested by millions of users immediately, and directly shape what Bharat watches and learns next — this is the place to build it.
What You'll Actually Do
- Own outcomes, not just tickets. Get close to real user behavior and turn every release into a measurable improvement in experience.
- Drive the architecture, not just the implementation. Take end-to-end ownership of delivery and solution architecture for your feature area — design systems that are scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant by default.
- Think in HLDs and LLDs. Translate ambiguous, complex backend problems into clean, well-reasoned designs — and then build them.
- Obsess over API performance. Push for best-in-class response times and reliability across every feature you touch.
- Mentor junior engineers and raise the bar on code quality through reviews and design discussions.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and deploying large-scale applications.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOPs, with solid command of concurrency and multi-threading.
- Proficiency in Java, with GoLang or Python as a strong plus.
- Comfort modeling data across both relational and NoSQL databases.
- The ability to design and ship low-latency RESTful services that hold up under real traffic.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and distributed queue systems like Kafka.
- A habit of refactoring and improving systems continuously — not letting technical debt pile up.
- Genuine curiosity and a hunger for hard problems.
Extra Brownie Points
- You've ridden the wave of rapid company growth — startup to mid-size — and know what breaks (and what to fix) along the way.
- You've helped decompose a monolith into microservices.
- You've worked with Firebase or WebSockets in production.
If building fast, scaling faster, and shaping how millions of Indians consume content and learn sounds like your kind of problem — let's talk.
