About the Role
We are looking for a PR Specialist who can operate fluently across three worlds that sit inside one person: the pace and scrappiness of startup PR, the credibility and precision of tech PR, and the buzz, talent dynamics, and cultural instinct of entertainment PR.
You will help shape how India's media talks about microdramas as a category, position our leadership as industry voices, drive coverage for show launches and talent announcements, and build the group's business and technology narrative with national, regional, and trade media.
What You will Do
- Own the press office. Draft and place press releases, pitch notes, op-eds, and spokesperson quotes across business, tech, and entertainment media - national, regional (including South India markets), and trade.
- Drive entertainment PR cycles. Plan and execute PR for show launches, talent signings, partnerships, and campaign moments, working with artists, and production houses on coordinated announcements.
- Build the business and tech narrative. Translate funding, growth metrics, product launches, and AI initiatives into stories that land with business and technology journalists.
- Manage agency partners. Coordinate day-to-day with retained PR agencies and show-specific agencies along with briefs, calendars, coverage reviews, and escalations.
- Cultivate media relationships. Maintain an active journalist and editor network across entertainment, startup, and technology beats; own the media list and its regional expansion.
- Support founder and CXO visibility. Secure podcast placements, speaking slots, interviews, and profile features for leadership; prep briefing docs and talking points.
- Track and measure. Run share-of-voice tracking, coverage quality scoring, and competitive monitoring; report against defined PR outcomes.
- Handle issues and crises. Support rapid-response statements, media monitoring during sensitive moments, and message discipline across spokespeople.
What We are Looking For
- 5–8 years in PR, with hands-on experience across three function: high-growth startups, technology companies, and entertainment/media/OTT
- Excellent writing, be it press releases, pitches, quotes, and op-eds that don't need more than one round of edits.
- Experience managing PR agencies(or, be a part of PR agencies managing a strong team) and holding them to outcomes.
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed: you can take a two-line brief and a same-day deadline and still land quality outcomes.
- Familiarity with new-media formats and the ability to explain them credibly to skeptical journalists.
- Understanding of measurement: SOV, message pull-through, sentiment etc.
Nice to Have (but not must)
- Prior experience at a consumer entertainment or content platform (OTT, audio, gaming, creator economy).
- Exposure to policy/government-facing communications or industry-body engagement.
- Experience supporting founder-led PR programs (podcasts, keynotes, profile features).
