About the Role
We're looking for a Telugu Language Lead to own the content vision and execution for Story TV's Telugu market. You'll drive Telugu content from production strategy to ad creation — ensuring every piece resonates with Telugu audiences while fueling business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll both create and lead.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end Telugu content production funnel — from ideation and scripting to final delivery — ensuring high-quality output at scale.
- Lead the ad creation process for Telugu content, building creatives that drive installs, engagement, and retention.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align content strategy with growth objectives — identifying what content works as ads and how to scale both.
- Lead and mentor the Telugu content team — writers, creators, and coordinators — setting quality benchmarks and building a culture of storytelling excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Telugu studios, production houses, and creators to expand Story TV's content pipeline.
- Track content performance metrics — views, watch time, CTR, retention — and use data to iterate and improve content quality continuously.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of content experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior individual contributor role.
- Strong proficiency in the Telugu content business — deep understanding of the Telugu entertainment landscape, audience tastes, and regional storytelling formats.
- Proven ability to bridge content and marketing — understanding how content drives business outcomes and scaling accordingly.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full content production lifecycle — from concept to screen.
- Excellent communication skills — can articulate content and creative decisions clearly to both content and non-content stakeholders.
- Experience in a consumer internet, media, or entertainment company is a strong plus.
