Personalized financial intelligence used to require either a fortune or a finance degree. AI is about to change that, and almost no one has built it for the everyday investor yet. We're hiring our first Product Manager to help us get there first.

Alinea is democratizing financial intelligence for the next generation. What started as a class project is now an AI investing companion, a personal guide that helps everyday investors understand and act on their money, with over 3 million downloads.

We've raised over $40M, including equity and cohort financing, from investors like Play Ventures and Y Combinator, and have been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, and Fortune.

Why Now

Robo-advisors give everyone the same generic portfolio. Real financial advice is still gated behind six-figure minimums. Most people are left to Google their way through the biggest financial decisions they'll ever make. AI can finally close that gap: a guide that knows your situation and tells you what to do next, not another dashboard of numbers. That product doesn't exist yet. We're building it, and the next 8 months will decide who gets there first.

The Role

We're hiring our first Product Manager: the one seat that touches every part of how Alinea is built. There's no team to hide behind: you're the connective tissue between every function, turning strategy into things that ship, working directly with our founders and leadership from day one.

This isn't a maintain-and-optimize role. It's build-from-scratch: you'll define how the product works at Alinea, partnering with Engineering, Design, Growth, and Investment to get from idea to shipped product.

What You'll Do

- Own projects end-to-end, from concept to shipped product

- Partner with Engineering, Design, Growth, and Investment to turn strategy into shipped products

- Write specs that align the team on the problem, goals, scope, and success metrics

- Work alongside engineers and designers daily, clearing blockers and keeping projects moving

- Bring structure to a fast-moving environment without losing touch with users and data

- Understand the user journey and re-engage users at key moments along the way.

Who You Are

- Builds from scratch → You've taken a rough idea to a working product in an ambiguous, under-resourced environment, ideally as the first or only PM at a high-growth startup (Series A–D). Founders and ex-founders welcome.

- Comfortable with chaos → Hands-on and resourceful, with 3+ years in product and at least a year at a high-growth startup. You create order, you don't wait for it.

- Grounded in data → You know what to track and use it to decide, not just report.

- Proven track record → Led at least one successful product or business line, working closely with engineers and designers on consumer or B2B software.

- Close to the user → Real empathy for the people using the product, translated instinctively into decisions.

- Fintech fluency → You understand financial products, regulation, and user behavior in a regulated space. Direct fintech experience is a plus.

- AI-fluent → You use AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Claude Code, etc.) as part of how you work, not just what you build.
