As we grow, protecting how money moves is critical. We’re hiring a Fraud & Risk Operations hire to help us scale responsibly, prevent losses, and protect our users without slowing down legitimate activity.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with real ownership and real impact.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own day-to-day fraud and risk operations across our consumer fintech product, with a heavy focus on ACH and withdrawals.

Specifically, you will:

• Monitor and investigate ACH activity and returns (NACHA codes, repeat returners, exposure management)
• Review and escalate high-risk withdrawals and suspicious account activity
• Identify fraud patterns, timing exploits, and abuse vectors
• Distinguish user error vs friendly fraud vs true fraud
• Freeze accounts, mitigate losses, and partner with support on user communications
• Define and evolve risk rules, thresholds, and manual review processes
• Track fraud metrics, return rates, and loss trends
• Partner with product, engineering, and banking partners to tighten controls and reduce exposure
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in fraud, risk, or payments operations
• Direct experience in consumer fintech, neobanking, payments, or investing
• Strong working knowledge of ACH flows and returns (this is not a card-only role)
• Proven ability to make judgment calls in ambiguous situations
• Comfortable taking action — freezing accounts, escalating issues, and owning outcomes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Operator mindset: you care about results, not just dashboards
  

Nice to Have

• Experience at a high-growth fintech or startup
• Familiarity with Stripe, Plaid, or brokerage infrastructure
• Exposure to fraud tooling or risk platforms (e.g., Stripe Radar, Alloy, Sardine, Persona)
• Experience partnering with banking or custodial partners
